We send $12 million annually in property taxes to the Southampton Twp. School District to educate our children at a cost of approximately $18,000 per student.  In return, we got a math proficiency rate of 54.5% and a language arts proficiency rate of 64.3%.

That was pre-COVID.   Post-COVID is far worse.  Fourth grade language arts, 29.2% need “strong support,” 31.9% need “support,” and 38.9% are “proficient.”  Fifth grade math, 75% need “strong support,” 18.4% need “support,” and less than 10% are “proficient.”  Sixth grade math, 68.1% need “strong support,” 16.7% need “support,” and 15.3% are “proficient.”

If you find that acceptable, don’t vote for me.  But if you, like me, find that unacceptable, you’re frustrated, and you believe we need to try harder, then I invite you to learn more about me, what I stand for, what I believe, what I would do, and to vote for me for Southampton Twp. School Board on November 8, 2022.
